Smith Dies of Heart Attack in Jena Last Monday Funeral services were held at the Nolly Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock for Miles T. Smith, aged 83 years, 4 months, and 8 days, interment following in the cemetery with Rev L. D. Posey officiating. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Kinner and Stevens, local funeral directors. Mr Smith died at 7 o'clock Monday at the home of his son, Howard Smith, after suffering a heart stgroke at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. The deceased had been a resident of this section for several years and leaves many friends and relatives to mourn his death. Members of the immediate famiy who survive him are the following sons and daughters: Lewis, Meridian, Miss.; Howard, Jena, and Gerald, Jena; Mrs A. S. Leverett, Shreveport; Mrs Mattie Epperson, DeKalb, Texas; Mrs Cappie Waggoner, Campti, and Mrs J. M. Coleman, Jena.
