Simmons Dies at Cabrini Hospital, Alex. Mr. Charles Wesley Simmons, 86, of Zenoria, died last week at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria. Mr. Simmons died at 76:35 pm Tuesday. He was a retired farmer. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Zenoria Baptist Church with the Revs. Leon Carson and Johnnie Lee Dayton officiating. Burial was in Chalk Cemetery near Zenoria under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Jena. Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Mae Mapes of Livingston, and Mrs. Charlotte Black of Lafayette; six sons, Clyde of Haslan, Tex., Ralph of Zenoria, Bill of Trout, Lannie of Louisville, Arkansas, Woodie of Zenoria, and Gilbert of Zenoria; one sister, Mrs. Ella Whatley of Zenoria; 16 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
