E. Smith, 78, who passed away at his home at Litroe in Union Parish on last Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The deceased was the father of Mrs. Walter Brewton of this city. Mr. Smith is survived by one brother, Walter Smith of Marion; and eight children as follows: Mrs. E. N. Taliaferro and Wilbur Smith of Litroe, La., P. E. Smith, Grenada, Miss.; Jewel Smith, Keithville, La.; Mrs. R. L. Arnold and Mrs. Wyatt Burgess, Epps, La.; Mrs. George Cole of Texas and Mrs. Walter Brewton of Jena. His wife also survives. The body was interred in the Union Graveyard on Sunday morning at 10 o'clock
