Funeral services for Katie Stapleton, 77, of Trout were held April 6, 1975, 
at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena, with Rev. 
Max Billings officiating.

Burial followed at the Belah Cemetery with arrangements by Kinner and Stevens.

Mrs. Stapleton died on April 5, 1975, at 3:15 a.m. at LaSalle General 
Hospital.  She was a housewife and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Elisha Stapleton of Trout; one son, Quitman 
Stapleton of Lake Providence; and two sisters, Mrs. Amy Ganey of Trout, and 
Mrs. Allie Ganey of Trout; 2 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
