Smith, 78, of Georgetown, died at 1 p.m., Sunday, November 28, 1999, at her residence. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was also a member of APHA and the Caldwell Riders. Services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 30, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Charles Best officiating. Burial followed in Dry Prong Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis E. Lee of Urania and MarBeth Luther of Georgetown; one sister, Collen Porter of Natchez, Miss., eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Heath Lee, Tot Lee, Junior Watson, Benji Mitchell, Tommy Shields, and Ronald Luther.
