Headline:  Area Deaths

Helen R. Leonard Hastings Scroggins, of Biloxi Mississippi, and formerly of 
Jena, died Wednesday, February 2, 2000, in Biloxi.

She was a homemaker.

Services were held Saturday, Feb. 5, at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Ben Scroggins of Biloxi; four daughters, 
Patricia Ann Bennett of Pensacola, Fla., Rebecca Sue Hughes of Petal, Miss., 
Hazel Link of Bradton, Fla., Sandra M. Broome of Jena; two sons, Kenneth 
Hastings, Sr., of Mobile, Alabama, and Donald Ray Hastings of Alabama; one 
sister, Florine of Jena; 14 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, plus a 
host of nieces and nephews in Jena.
