Death was caused by heart failure. Mrs. Smith had been a resident of Harrisonburg all her life and was a member of the Baptist Church there. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 12, from the Baptist Church in Harrisonburg. Rev. Lee Brooks of Rhinehart and Rev. Travis of Pollock conducted services. Survivors were three sons, James P. Smith, Atlanta, Chas. R. Smith, Mitrice; R. E. Smith, Jr., Alexandria; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Hill, Pollock, and Mrs. Rita Cruse, Ruston. Funeral arrangements were in charge of Kinner & Stevens.
