Howard Clark, the Rev. Moses Mercer and the Rev. K. G. Brooks officiating. Mr. Sandifer was serving his second term as a Ward 8 juror. He died Wednesday, Feb. 23, in an Alexandria hospital. Burial was in Fishville Cemetery, under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Alexandria. Masonic rites were conducted at the graveside by Pollock's Anchor Lodge No. 261. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bessie Conn Sandifer; two sons, Edwin L. Sandifer of Jena and Charles H. Sandifer of Pollock; a daughter, Mrs. Loretta S. Andries of Pollock; three brothers, Lonnie, Reecie and Mathew Sandifer, all of Dry Prong; six granddaughters, three grandsons and a great-granddaughter.
