Headline:  California Woman's Remains Shipped to Home During Week

The remains of Mrs. Joe Silva, a resident of San Dregorio, California, were 
shipped by train last week by the Kinner & Stevens Undertaking parlor of this 
city.

Mrs. Silva, in company with Mrs. W. W. Lane, also of California, motored to 
Jena to visit relatives, arriving here on Thursday, April 27th.  On the 
Saturday night following she was taken seriously ill with appendicitis and 
passed away at the home of Mrs. Lane's relatives near Catahoula Lake.

The undertakers were enabled to get in touch with her husband and her remains 
were ordered shipped to the California home.
