Mrs. Silva, in company with Mrs. W. W. Lane, also of California, motored to Jena to visit relatives, arriving here on Thursday, April 27th. On the Saturday night following she was taken seriously ill with appendicitis and passed away at the home of Mrs. Lane's relatives near Catahoula Lake. The undertakers were enabled to get in touch with her husband and her remains were ordered shipped to the California home.
