Stevens James E. Stevens, 50, of Jena, died Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. in Tullos. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Hixson Bros., Jena, with Rev. J. W. Matthews and Rev. Max Billings officiating. Burial followed in the Jena Cemetery under direction of Hixson Bros., Inc. Survivors include three brothers, Grady Stevens of Fort Worth, Texas, Harold Stevens and Joe Paul Stevens, both of Jena; one sister, Mrs. Rose Marie Ranton of Olla, and his mother, Mrs. Bonnie Stevens of Jena. Pallbearers were W. T. DeVille, U. M. Manchester, Virgil Terral, C. N. Doshier, J. H. Smith, Robert L. Powell.
