Switzer Held February 27th Rites for Bendell Hamilton Switzer were held at his home on February 27 in East Jena with Rev. Finley W. Tinnin, Baptist pastor officiating. Friends and acquaintances throughout this section were indeed saddened to learn of his sudden passing. He was stricken with a heart attack some time between 11 and 12 o'clock and passed away at 12:45. The deceased was known to be a fine gentleman and loved by all who knew him. He was a native of Mississippi, but had spent the last 25 years of his life here in town and surrounding community. He was 71 years of age. Besides his wife, Mrs. Fannie Mae Switzer, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. R. E. Winfield of City Bluff, Miss. The Times joins a host of friends in extending condolences to the bereaved family. Burial was in Nolley Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Riser and Upshaw Funeral Home, Jena.
