Sizemore, Sr. Billy Eugene Sizemore, Sr., 65, of Jena, died at 11:39 p.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2000, at Grace Home in Shreveport. A retired United States Air Force officer, he was a member of the East Jena Baptist Church. He was born September 22, 1934, in Chickamauga, Georgia, to the union of Roy Lee and Jamie Akins Sizemore. Services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 23, at East Jena Baptist Church with Rev. Craig James officiating. Graveside military services were held at Pentecost Cemetery of Jena with interment under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Grace Mosely Sizemore of Jena; two daughters, Renee Pierceall and Susan Sizemore, both of Bossier City; three sons, Billy Sizemore, Jr., of Ringgold, James Sizemore and Timothy Sizemore, both of Bossier City; one sister, Kay Tinker of Noble, Ga., four brothers, Roy Sizemore of Chickamauga, Ga., Bob Sizemore of Sarasota, Fla., Tommy Sizemore and Eddie Sizemore, both of Rossville, Ga.; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Burl Clark, Doc Eubanks, Charles Arnold, Bryan Robertson, John Sharp, and H. L. Oswalt.
