Sub-Headline:  Billy Joy Sones

Billy Joe Sones, 69, of Jena, died Monday, September 18, 2000, at the LaSalle 
General Hospital of Jena.

He was a member of Rosefield Baptist Church.  He was born August 10, 1931, in 
Columbia to the union of the late Fred and Lottie Pace Sones.

Services were held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Rosefield Baptist Church 
with the Revs. Harrell Tucker and P. A. "Fox" Paul officiating.  

Interment followed in the church cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral 
Home of Columbia.

Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Maxine Girod of Kelly and Alice Girod 
of Houston Tx.; numerous nieces and nephews, a host of friends and his 
LaSalle Nursing Home family.

Pallbearers were Jeff Girod, Jamie Girod, Lonnie Lutrick, Thomas Lutrick, 
Greg Dumas, and Sam Hodges.
