She was a retired school teacher and member of the Nolley Memorial United Methodist Church of Jena and Delta Kappa Gamma. She was born in Jena to the union of Frank and Lula Browning Sheppard. Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Nolley memorial Methodist Church with Rev. John Johns officiating. Interment followed in the Nolley Cemetery under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include five nieces and six nephews. Pallbearers were Norman Sisson, Vaughan Sisson, Robert Vaughan, Frank Sheppard, York Sheppard, Jr., and John Sheppard. Honorary pallbearers were Milton Miles, Herman Williams, James Justiss, Raymond Nicholson, Robert Kendrick and Don Steen.
