Headline:  Mrs. Lula Turner is Called by Death at Home in Dry Prong

Mrs. Lula Turner, 57, mother of J. A. Turner, member of the LaSalle Parish 
School Board from Ward Three, passed away at her home in Dry Prong last 
Wednesday afternoon.  Her death was attributed to a bursted blood vessel and 
death came instantly.

Funeral services were held at the Oak Grove Church, near Colfax Thursday 
afternoon at 2:30 with interment following in the cemetery at that place.  
Rev. Chelette, Baptist minister, conducted the funeral services for Mrs. 
Turner, who was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church.

The deceased is survived by her husband, J. R. Turner of Dry Prong and the 
following children:  J. A. Turner, Jena; George and Carlos Turner, Dry Prong; 
Mrs. Lucy Fuller, Colfax; Mrs. Genie Deville, Clarks; and Miss Julian Turner, 
Dry Prong.
