A. Turner, member of the LaSalle Parish School Board from Ward Three, passed away at her home in Dry Prong last Wednesday afternoon. Her death was attributed to a bursted blood vessel and death came instantly. Funeral services were held at the Oak Grove Church, near Colfax Thursday afternoon at 2:30 with interment following in the cemetery at that place. Rev. Chelette, Baptist minister, conducted the funeral services for Mrs. Turner, who was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church. The deceased is survived by her husband, J. R. Turner of Dry Prong and the following children: J. A. Turner, Jena; George and Carlos Turner, Dry Prong; Mrs. Lucy Fuller, Colfax; Mrs. Genie Deville, Clarks; and Miss Julian Turner, Dry Prong.
