Killed in the collision were Tidwell's father, Ebbon Archie Tidwell, 64, of Tullos and Craybon Tidwell's three children, Dennis R. Tidwell, 10, Ricky G. Tidwell, 8, and Charles R. Tidwell, 12. Craybon Tidwell was thrown from the truck as it flipped over and the gasoline tank exploded. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Tidwell of Tullos; one brother, C. T. Tidwell of New Orleans; one sister, Mrs. W. O. Holmes of Tullos; his mother, Mrs. Cloie Tidwell of Tullos, his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Eula Cockerham of Tullos, his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ruby Tidwell of Winnfield.
