Tingle of Shreveport died at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 at Highland Hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11 in the Blanchard Baptist Church near Shreveport. Masonic graveside services were held. A resident of the Shreveport area for the past 17 years, Mr. Tingle was born in Jena. He was a member of the Blanchard Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 447. He was a number of relatives in this area. Survivors include the widow; his mother, Mrs. R. S. Beck of Jena; two sons, Henry and Charles Tingle, both of Blanchard; two daughters, Mrs. W. A. Walker of Shreveport and Mrs. W. E. King, Jr., of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; three brothers, W. H. Tingle of Vicksburg, Miss., H. A. and Forrest Tingle, both of Jena; two sisters, Mrs. J. A. Turner and Mrs. Ethel Yeates, both of Jena; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
