Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 3 p.m. in the East Jena Baptist Church with the Rev. P. M. Guice and K. G. Brooks officiating. Burial was in Belah Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include her husband, Dexter Thompson of Jena; three sons, Philip Dexter Thompson, Jr., Rickie Dewayne Thompson and Keith Darren Thompson; three brothers, J. W. Miles and David Miles, both of Jena and Jimmie Terrel of California; two sisters, Miss Mary Dean Miles of Jena and Mrs. Joe Gerig of Solanal Beach, Calif.; her mother, Mrs. Neal Miles of Jena; her father, Mr. George Terrel of Encemitas, Calif.; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Cowart of Jena. Pallbearers were Glen Thompson, James Thompson, Dale Thompson, Benny Thompson, E. L. Bailey and Arthur Cowart.
