Headline:  J. E. Taliaferro Is Claimed by Death at Kelly Last Week

LaSalle and Catahoula Parish lost one of the most beloved citizens when J. E. 
"Ham" Taliaferro died last week at his home at Kelly after a short illness.

Mr. Taliaferro spent the major part of his life in Catahoula, but during the 
last few years he has made his home at Kelly.  He was a member of one of the 
Catahoula Parish's most honored and respected families.

Funeral services were held at the Pine Hill Cemetery last Friday afternoon 
where quite a large crowd of friends and relatives came to pay their last 
respects.

Mr. Taliaferro leaves to mourn his death a wife and three children.
