She had suffered from brights disease for sometime and it was this malady that caused her death. She was thirty-nine years old at the time of her death and was the mother of nine children, three of whom were dead. She is survived by six children, Reta, Onie, Lewis, Frank, Bertie May, and Edwin, an aged mother, Caroline Reeves, a sister, Adline Bradford, two half brothers, Union and Marion Paul. All of these surviving relatives live in Jena. The funeral was Friday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Jena with interment in the Methodist Cemetery. The Rev. E. W. Corley officiated.
