The Rev. Vernon Chevallier, Pastor, conducted the final rites with interment following in the Belah Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home of Jena. Mrs. Torrans, who had resided in the parish some two years, is survived by a nephew, Monroe Gilmore of Arkansas; six nieces, Yvonne Gilmore of Arkansas, Bernice Gilmore of Columbia, Mrs. Wynona Leonard of Trout (route); Mrs. Obline Freeman of Winnsboro, Aline Gilmore of New Orleans and Mrs. James Morgan of Nebo route, Jena; a brothers, M. C. Gilmore of Trout (route), and four grandchildren, James David, Roger Dale, Edna Faye, and Gary Lynn Morgan, all of Nebo route, Jena.
