W. Tugwell, 75, father of A. P. Tugwell, chairman of the Louisiana Highway Commission, died at his home in Winnfield early Saturday following an illness of seven weeks. Funeral services were held at Winnfield Saturday afternoon. Mr. Tugwell was a resident of Winnfield about 25 years. For many years, he was connected with the Louisiana and Arkansas Railroad. He also worked several years for Western Union. He retired years ago. Surviving are his widow and two sons, A. P. Tugwell, Baton Rouge, and Lloyd Tugwell, of Winnfield.
