Mr. Thompson died at 10:30 Saturday in a Shreveport Hospital and was brought to Jena Saturday night for burial by his father, Dave Thompson. Thompson was shot by Carl Taylor of Jena, it was stated, while the two were engaged in a heated argument, which led to the shooting. It is reported that a warrant has been sworn out for Taylor's arrest. Besides his father, Dave Thompson, the deceased is survived by his widow, one daughter, Margie, and one son, C. A. Thompson.
