Taylor, 79, Laid to Rest in Graham Cemetery at Nebo Jack Francis Taylor, aged 79 years, a former resident of Lecompte, died at his home here at 8:45 p.m., Sunday, December 21, after a two-weeks' illness from lagrippe. Mr. Taylor had been a resident of Jena since June 1930. The deceased was born in Jackson Parish on January 6, 1851, and in 1871 he was married to Miss Mattie E. Bradford. During young manhood, he became a member of the Salem Baptist Church and remained a faithful and devout member of this denomination throughout the remainder of his life. Funeral services were in the home of his son, A. G. Taylor on Monday, December 22, at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Tom Ratcliff, pastor of Midway Baptist Church, conducting the funeral rites. Interment was in Graham Cemetery at Nebo. The sympathy of the community is extended to the survivors, who are his widow, Mrs. J. F. Taylor, and four sons, D. H. Taylor, Monroe; A. G. Taylor, Jena; W. L. Taylor, Glenmora, and J. B. Taylor, Lecompte.
