Tubbs, 60 Clarence H. Tubbs, 60, who died early Friday morning in Monroe following a long illness, was buried Saturday. Funeral services were held at the Peter's Funeral Home Chapel at 3 o'clock in the afternoon with the Rev. H. L. Sampson, pastor of the Parkview Baptist Church, conducting the final rites. Interment followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery near Monroe. A native of Union Parish, he had lived in Monroe for 28 years and had resided with his daughter, Mrs. Tom Agnew of Monroe, prior to becoming ill. In addition to Mrs. Agnew, he is survived by a son, Charles, of Waco, Texas; five sisters, Mrs. Mattie Holloway of Bastrop, Mrs. Doshier Abbott of Farmerville, Mrs. Monroe Grafton of Jena, Mrs. R. A. Dugas of Sulphur, and a sister in Oklahoma; two brothers, Lafe of New Orleans and Lawrence of Borger, Texas, and one grandchild. Serving as pallbearers for the final rites were A. C. Houston, D. V. Fasi, James Martin, Marvin Rabun, Dillard Turnage, and J. W. Turnage.
