Tullos, 82, Former Resident of Jena, is Buried Today Mrs. Darcus Clementine Tullos, 82, a former resident of Jena and mother of two Jena men, W. D. and Elmo Tullos, was buried this (Thurs.) afternoon following services held at 2 o'clock at the Ebenezer Baptist Church near Jonesboro. The Rev. J. P. Owens, pastor of the first Baptist Church at Jena where Mrs. Tullos held her membership, conducted the final rites, assisted by the Rev. R. B. Kitchenham, pastor of the Ebenezer Baptist Church where she had been a member most of her life. Burial followed in the Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Mrs. Tullos died Wednesday about 4 a.m. at the home of a daughter, Mrs. T. S. Canterbury in Jonesboro. She had been confined to her bed more than two years. She was the wife of the late M. V. Tullos who died seven years ago. Prior to her husband;s death, they had made their home in Jena about years. Mrs. Tullos is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Canterbury and Miss Ola Tullos, both of Jonesboro; Mrs. Marshall Chapell of Transylvania and Mrs. Cleve Thomas of Saline; six sons, Elmo and W. D. of Jena, B. A. Tullos of Chatham, S. W. Tullos of Gilbert, Floyd Tullos of Ferriday and Clarence Tullos of Laurel, Miss.; three sisters, Mrs. S. C. Greer and Mrs. R. G. Thompson, both of Monroe, and Mrs. O. J. Holland of Alexandria; 36 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
