WHATLEY HELD APRIL 1 The many friends of Mrs. Susie _ Whatley, 68 years, were saddened to learn of her death, March 31 at _:15 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. Pipes, following several weeks illness. Funeral services were held at the Eden Methodist church of which the deceased was a member April 1 at 3 p.m. with Rev. A.J. Cain of Urania officiating. Interment took place at the Eden cemetery near Trout. Mrs. Whatley was born in Utility, La. Has resided in Trout for the past 46 years. She is survived by the following: Mrs. J. Pipes and Mrs. Bill Basham, of Trout, Mrs. B.O. Bourn of Sebastian, Texas, Mrs. _. M. Adams of New Iberia, and Mrs. L.A. Gross of Port Arthur, Texas daughters; Lloyd Whatley of ____, and H.C. Whatley of Port Arthur, Texas, sons; Mrs. J.B. Ray of Hughes, Rk., Mrs. C.A. Wilkinson of Archie, Mrs. H.T. Young of _______, Mrs. J.S. Chanault and Mrs. G.R. hanks of Gilbert, sisters; and Mr. E. Young of utility, brother. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Riser and Upshaw Funeral Home of Jena. The Times joins friends in extending heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
