Whatley Is Buried Sunday At Eden Cemetery Joseph Lloyd Whatley, 61, retired electrician, who died at hishome Saturday morning at 2:30 o'clock was buried Sunday afternoon following services at the First Baptist church in Jena at 3:15 o'clock. The Revs. L.P. Moreland, J.P. Owens and W.O. Lynch conducted final rites, with enterment following in the Eden cemetery under direction of Kinner and Stevens Home for Funerals, Jena. A Member of the Eden Methodist church, Mr. Whatley is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eva Whatley of Jena; one son, Joe Henry, formerly on the editorial staff of The Jena Times and now of Picayune, Miss.; a brother, H.C. Whatley of Port Arthur, Texas; five sisters, Mrs. J. Pipes of Trout, Mrs. Bill Basham of Trout, Mrs. B.O. bourne of Columbia, Miss., Mrs. W.M. Adams of Alexandria, and Mrs. J.A. Gross of Port Arthur, Texas, and two grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers for the final rites were E.E. Jones, Dr. D.L. Trax, Ezell Taylor, Earl Mann, T.O. Watson, H.W. Cannon, Drewett Smith and Clyde Russell.
