All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mr. Green Womack, 72, Passed Away Thursday, March 16 Mr. Stevne Green Womack, age 72, died at the Baptist Hospital in Alexandria at 6:00 a.m., Thursday March 16, 1944. Mr. Womack had been in bad health for some time. He was carried to the hospital last Tuesday night, March 14, after becoming seriously ill. Mr. Womack was given blood transfusions but to no avail. Services for Mr. Womack will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Manifest Baptist Church, March 17, with burial in the Heard Cemetery. Rev. L.H. Brooks of Rhinehart will officiate. Mr. Womack was born at Manifest and moved to Jena about 40 years ago. He was a member the Baptist Church. Besides his wife the deceased is survived bu one daughter, Mrs. L. O. Swazey, and one son Jake Womack, Manifest, six brothers, W.W., Arch, Henry and Johnny, all of Orange, Texas, A.N. and Grover of Manifest, and a number of other relatives. Hixon Brothers Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
