Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 20, at 2 pm in the Summerville Free Methodist Church with the Rev. V. T. Bradford and the Rev. Arvie Jolley officiating. Burial followed in the Summerville Cemetery under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Alice Mosely of Jena, Mrs. Irene Spears of Nederland, Texas, Mrs. Bessie Hannegan of Hardwood, Mrs. Inez Flowers, and Mrs. Margie Sharp, both of Summerville; four sons, Taylor and R. C. of Alexandria, Benton of Urania, and W. A. of Jena; 30 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were J. H. Mosely, Wayne Spears, Joe Spears, Cecil Spears, Harold Hannegan, and Charles Hannegan.
