Headline:  Mrs. M. M. Williams is Called by Death Saturday, Dec. 24th

Mrs. Mathilda Miller Williams, aged 91 years, 9 months, and 22 days, died 
Saturday, December 24 at the home of Mr. A. S. Williams, death resulting from 
a brief illness with influenza.

Mrs. Williams was born in Mississippi on March 12, 1841, where she resided 
for seven years before moving to Harrisonburg, her residence before her 
death.  She has been a lifelong member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at the home with Rev. L. D. Posey, pastor of the 
Jena Baptist Church, officiating.  Interment was made in the family cemetery.

Surviving are four sons: Elija, Andrews, Albert and Joseph, and one daughter, 
Hariet.  She leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her 
passing.

Kinner and Stevens, local undertakers, had charge of the funeral 
arrangements.
