Woods Buried at Monroe Thursday; Died Wednesday Funeral services for Chas. Thomas Woods, 60, of Clarks who died 2:45 am Wednesday morning at the St. Francis Sanitarium in Monroe, were held from the Clarks Baptist Church at 1:30 pm Thursday with Rev. Paul Jones, pastor of the Clarks Baptist Church, Rev J. E. Hearn of the Olla Methodist Church, and Rev. E. M. Daffin of the Olla Baptist Church in charge. Interment was made in the Riverside Burial Park in Monroe. The deceased was born in Oregon County, Mo., and came to Standard from Grandin, Mo., in the fall of 1909 where he ws employed with Louisiana Central Lumber Co. up to his death. He had moved with his family to Clarks several months ago. He was employed as locomotive engineer. He is survived by his widow and the following children: W. C. Woods of Standard, G. H. Woods of Burlington, Theo and Howard Woods and Misses Ada and Fleta Woods, all of Clarks; and H. Ted Woods of Columbia. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. George Dills, and three brothers, Henry, John and Jerome Woods, all of Oregon County, Mo. The two latter brothers and all the children were present at his bedside when death came. Funeral services were conducted by the Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Active pallbearers were J. E. Patton, Bill Smith, L. A. Moore, J. H. Steen, A. R. Crabtree and C. E. Black; honorary pallbearers were John Sellers, T. E. Skirvin, E. E. Antley, and Harry Allen.
