Wilson, Midway resident, Dies of Heart Attack Sept. 2 Funeral services for George Warren Wilson were held on September 3, 1946, at 10 o'clock, at the Church of God in Midway, Ruth M. Murphy, Evangelist, conducting the services. He died on September 2, of a heart attack at his home in Midway, at the age of 43 years, 1 month, and 18 days. Interment was made in the Belah Cemetery, with Kinner and Stevens, funeral directors, officiating. M. Wilson was born in Caroway, Miss., on July 14, 1903. In early childhood he came with his parents to Catahoula Parish, Louisiana, late moving to LaSalle Parish, where he has spent most of his life. He was married to Mandy Melissia Masters, of Jena, to which union was born two daughters and one son. His mother preceded him in death three years ago. Pallbearers were Archie Gibson, Abe Flowers, Leon Bignar, John Whitard, Obie Lee, and Elbie Masters. Those surviving are his wife, two daughters, Edna Earl and Vellere Wilson, and son, Warren George, all at home. Three stepsons, Elbie and Obie Lee Masters of Trout, and Lavious Masters, of Walters; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Leon Bignar, of Nebo; his father, Jake Wilson, of Midway; three sisters, Mrs. John Whitard, of Clarks; Mrs. Ernest Beech, of Pollock; and Mrs. Velma Mancil, of Midway; and a host of other relatives and friends.
