Mrs. Wilson had been a lifelong resident of this community and was a member of the Church of God. Funeral services, in charge of Kinner and Stevens, were held at the Nolly Memorial Cemetery, here, Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Cox of Monroe conducting. Mrs. Wilson is survived by the following: Mr. and Mrs. Tom Wilson, parents; Oscar Wilson, husband, Murphy Wilson, brother, Katy Bell and Gladys, sisters, and two children, Billy Ray and Roy, all of Jena. (Note: name spelt both as Verdel and Verdell.)
