Whatley Dies at Residence Clarence Wooten Whatley, 62, of Jena, died Thursday, Jan. 7, at his residence in Jena. He was a retired oil field worker and a veteran of World War I. Services were held at the Jena First Baptist Church Friday, Jan. 8, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. K. G. Brooks officiating. Interment was in Nolley Cemetery in Jena and arrangements were by Hixson Brothers of Jena. Whatley is survived by a half-brother, Robertson Hatfield of Brooklyn, New York, and one sister, Mrs. L. J. Doughty of Jena. Pallbearers were Glenn Drewett, Joe Hodge, Drewett Smith, T. A. McDougald, Roy Hailey, and Ed Bass.
