Mrs. Claudelle Whatley, 39, of Trout died recently at the Pineville Hospital. Mrs. Whatley was a housewife and a member of the Pentecostal Church. She died at 8:57 p.m., a little over six hours after losing a baby, Earnest Alonzo, in delivery. The baby was delivered dead at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services for the child were held Thursday, March 2, at 10:00 a.m. at Belah Cemetery with the Rev. Boatner Spinks officiating. Burial was in the cemetery with arrangements by Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home, Jena. Services for Mrs. Whatley were held Friday, March 3, at 10:00 a.m. with the Revs. Ralph Hatton, Boatner Spinks, and E. R. Beauboeuf officiating. Burial was in Belah Cemetery under the direction of Kinner and Stevens. Survivors of Mrs. Whatley are her husband, Henry Whatley of Trout; four sons, Henry Jr., Bobby Glen, Floyd Lee, and Don Campbell, all of Trout; five brothers, Eugene Robbins of Trout, Marshall Robbins of Leesville, Lee Robbins of Houston, Tex., Arthur Robbins of Houston, Tex., and Walter Robbins of Trout; two sisters, Mrs. Onita Maxwell and Mrs. Hattie Webb, both of Jena; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Robbins of Jena.
