Headline:  Area Deaths

Lyle K. Woods, 76, of Olla, died on Friday, August 20, 1999, at Hardtner 
Medical Center in Urania following an extended illness.

He was born on January 4, 1923, in Monroe to the union of George Henry and 
Laurel Velma Critchett Woods.

In his earlier years, he was owner of L. K. Woods Lumber Company and co-owner 
of W&W Chevrolet-Buick in Tullos.  He served as chairman of the Board of 
Trustees at the Olla United Methodist Church and was also chairman of the 
Board of Directors at Hardtner Medical Center.

Services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 21, at the Olla United 
Methodist Church with the Revs. Jennie Brouillette and Milton Wilson 
officiating.

Interment followed at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, at the Rest Haven Cemetery in El 
Dorado, Ark., with services under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Burris Woods of Olla; two sons, Kenneth 
Wayne Woods of Urania and glen Edward Woods of Olla; one brother, Don Woods 
of Olla; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were John Greene, Ralph Ernest Gossard, Bobby Gossard, Raymond 
Lewellyan, Jack Reily and David Hamner.

Honorary pallbearers were M. L. Barksdale, Benny Zeagler, Dr. R. Ambi, 
Bernard Miller and Lee Richardel.
