Headline:  Obituaries

Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie R. Ward, 89, Jena, were held Mach 24, 1975, 
at 10:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, Pollock.

Burial followed at Friendship Cemetery of Pollock with arrangements by Hixson 
Brothers, Inc., of Jena.

Mrs. Ward was a resident of the Golden Age Nursing Home in Jena where she 
died on March 22, 1975, at 3:50 p.m.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Lucille Corley of Aimwell, Mrs. Bertie 
Taylor of California, Mrs. Erlene White of LeCompte and Mrs. Annie Royal of 
Pollock; one son, Herbert Ward of Grand Prairie, Texas; 4 grandchildren and 3 
great-grandchildren.
