Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16 in the Pineville Church of Christ with the Rev. James Knight officiating. Burial followed in the Taylor Chapel Cemetery near Jena under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Alexandria. Survivors include his widow; Mrs. Pearl Taylor Whiddon; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Maness and Mrs. Ruth Albert of Pineville; a son, Jerome Whiddon of Pineville; three brothers, Taylor Whiddon of Ball, Benton Whiddon of Urania, and Willy A. Whiddon of Jena; five sisters, Mrs. Irene Spears of Nederland, Texas, Mrs. Inez Flowers of Summerville, Mrs. Bessie Hannegan of St. Francisville, Mrs. Alice Mosely and Mrs. Marjorie Sharp of Jena; and two grandchildren.
