Headline:  Judge Wear Dies at Columbia Monday, Funeral on Tuesday

Judge George Wear, well known attorney and juris in this section for many 
years, died at his home in Columbia Monday night as a result of a fall 
sometime ago which fractured his skull.

Judge Wear was well known and beloved by the people of LaSalle Parish, where 
he served at one time in the capacity as judge.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in Columbia under the auspices 
of the Masonic Fraternity.  It is said that the funeral was one of the 
largest ever held in this part of the state.
