Mrs. Lucy Coleman Webb, wife of J. W. Webb, died at her home in Manifest Wednesday of last week. The cause of her death was due to cancer trouble. The Webb family was at one time residents of Clarks, where Mr. Webb was woods superintendent. Funeral services were conducted at the Manifest church. A large crowd attended the services - all work in that community was abandoned and the schools closed for the day. After the services the remains, accompanied by Mr. Webb and daughter, Mrs. Henry Watson, was taken to Van Buran, Mo., and laid to rest in the cemetery at that place on Saturday. She leaves to mourn her departure, besides her husband, seven children, a father residing in Missouri, and a host of other relatives.
