The Revs. M. H. Trisler, J. C. Bedford and Sam Wilson conducted the final rites, with interment following in the Big Island Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Mr. Wiley, who had lived at Larto since early childhood, was born June 11, 1886, in Rapides Parish, the son of the late John and Angeline Wiley. He was a merchant by occupation, having conducted a grocer business for many years. Mr. Wiley is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary F. Wiley of Larto; one son, James Will Wiley of Larto; four daughters, Mrs. Cora Mae Wade and Mrs. Dan Wiley, both of Larto; Mrs. Ruth Morace of Deville and Mrs. C. B. Book, Jr., of New Era; two brothers, Alfred and Cleveland Wiley, both of Larto, and 13 grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers for the funeral services were Roy Charrier, Sam Charrier, Boyd Wiley, Archie Wiley, Bob Wiley and Charles Book.
