O. Williams, 63 years of age, a resident of Good Pine for 18 years, died Saturday morning. Mr. Williams was born in Forest, Miss., June 15, 1865. He was united with the Presbyterian Church, in Alexandria, 31 years ago. On January 18, 1898, he was married to Miss Ladoiska Marais of Napoleonville. They then came to Pollock, where Mr. Williams was employed until he moved to Good Pine. Mr. Williams was the father of ten children, four of whom preceded him and Mrs. Williams to the grave, Winton V., Olen, Henry V. and Baby Williams, all having been buried in the family lot in Pineville. Mrs. Williams died Feb. 6, 1919, during the influenza epidemic. Mr. Williams was sick on month and 16 days previous to his demise. He was moved from the Baptist Hospital in Alexandria to Tauro Infirmary in New Orleans, where he underwent an operation. He was thought to be slowly recovering when he suddenly developed pneumonia and passed away a day later. Death came at 8:30 a.m., Feb. 18. The remains were conveyed to Alexandria for interment, the funeral services being held in the Presbyterian Church, conducted by Rev. B. H. Somers, Presbyterian minister. Pallbearers were: H. H. Hill, W. P. Knighton, W. S. Ellard, D. S. Butler, Harry Waldon, Dr. G. B. Tait. Then the body, in charge of Kelly Undertakers, was taken to the Rapides Cemetery in Pineville, where the Masons held their ceremony, being conducted by I. H. Leggett of Alexandria, acting W. M. Mr. Williams is survived by five sons and one daughter: Mord O. Williams, Clifford O. Williams, James Olen Williams and Angeline Harding Williams of Good Pine; S. Otto Williams, of Monroe, and Odin L. Williams, of Ferriday. Five brothers and two sisters: E. F. Williams, Beaumont, Tex.; W. C. Williams, Colfax, La.; R. H. Williams, Dallas, Tex.; D. T. Williams, of Shreveport; Mrs. Clarence Johnson, Montgomery, La.; and Mrs. Hattie Matney, of Good Pine.
