Funeral services were conducted Sunday, April 15 at 1 p.m., from Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena, with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery near Rhinehart. The Rev. H. B. Bass officiated. Survivors include Mrs. West's husband, Samuel O. West of Houston; three brothers, Coy Pittman of Pineville, Boatner Pittman and Bennie Pittman, both of Alexandria; three sisters, Mrs. Alma Doughty and Mrs. Dorothy Cotton of Shreveport and Mrs. Freddie Bech of Ralph, Ala. Pallbearers were L. W. Doughty, Jr., Melton Doughty, Charles Doughty, Harold ray Doughty, Jean Hamilton, and Coy L. Pittman.
