He was a logger and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at Hurricane Creek Baptist Church near Jena, with the Revs. John Lee Dayton and Willard Norris officiating. Burial was in the Hurricane Creek Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. He is survived by one stepdaughter, Vivian Rachal of Trout; two sisters, Molly Williams of Jena and Lola Guide of Trout; eight grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
