Sub-Headline:  James L. Wilson

James L. Wilson, 87, of Georgetown, died at 11:37 p.m., Monday, August 28, 
2000, at his residence.

He was retired from Simpson Timber Company of Eureka, California.

Services were held 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 30, in the chapel of Hixson 
Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Jimmy Griffin officiating.

Interment followed in Hawthorne Cemetery of Little Creek under direction of 
Hixson Brothers, Inc., of Jena.

Survivors include his wife, Lena Stapleton Wilson of Georgetown; one son, 
Elmer L. Wilson of Urania; one sister, Blanchie Mae Teddlie of Baton Rouge; 
two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Vince Stapleton, Garthian Stapleton, Luther Stapleton, James 
Stapleton, Charles B. Teddlie, and Johnnie Brunson.
