B. Wright; OES Services Held Final tribute to Mrs. J. B. Wright was paid by her host of friends and relatives at funeral services held last Thursday afternoon at the First Baptist Church of Jena. Mrs. Wright died at her home in Jena Wednesday morning, Dec. 7. Dr. C. E. Wilbanks of Dallas, Texas, an associate in the department of evangelism for the Southern Baptist Convention, brought the funeral message. Other ministers having part in the service were the Rev. J. P. Owens, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Jena, the Rev. C. B. Hall, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Winnsboro, and the Rev. J. R. Miller, pastor of the East Jena Baptist Church. Mrs. Wright, active and faithful in the work of her church for many years, was the wife of the late J. B. Wright who served the Bank of Jena as its second president until the time of his death. Following the services at the church, Ruby Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star held special graveside services at Nolley Memorial Cemetery. Officers taking part in this service were Mrs. Cecile Gaddis, worthy matron; J. M. Walker, junior worthy patron; Mrs. Myra Breithaupt, chaplain; Mrs. Mattie Girlinghouse as Ada, Mrs. Margarette Spann as Ruth, Mrs. Erlean Ogle as Esther, Mrs. Exa McGuffin as Martha and Mrs. Hilda Hinton as Electa. Active pallbearers serving were J. C. Tarver, Dewey Wishum, Frank Benton, Hobson Coon, Emmanuel Jones, Blanchard Smith, Monroe Wright, Barney Basham, D. Floyd, Nelson Hudnall, and Coy Doughty. Named as honorary pallbearers were Dr. T. H. (Bud) Gaharan, H. M. Davis, P. S. Gaharan, Jr., Elmo Tullos, Ellis Lawrence, Pete Doughty, Owen Mills, A. M. Cobb, J. C. Pyle, Bob Owens, and J. E. Nugent.
