He was a retired butcher. Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena with Rev. Lloyd Trisler and Rev. S. B. Spinks officiating. Burial followed at Pine Grove Cemetery with arrangements by Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Bonnell White of Jena; a daughter, Glynda Brian of Jena; a brother, Clay White of Jena; five sisters, Bertha Murrell, Mable White and Dorothy Coley, and Miss Ruby White, all of Jonesville and Martha McIntrye of Bastrop; four grandchildren, Darty Brian, Yolanda Brian, and Sherrie Poole, all of Jena, and Demarious LaCroix of Trout; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Darty Brian, Leven LaCroix, Steve Poole, Huey Smith Jr., Dale Bass and Eddie Corley.
