Funeral services were held Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. at the Goodpine Baptist Church and wee conducted by the Rev. R. E. Hampton, the Rev. C. E. Woods and the Rev. P. E. Pitre. Interment followed in the Jena Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Mr. Yancey, a planer mill superintendent, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emmett Yancey of Goodpine; one son, Clyde E. Yancey of Alvin, Tex.; his mother, Mrs. Della Yancey of Glenmora; seven brothers, Herman, Bennie and Leroy, all of Lake Charles; Willie and Bert of Glenmora, Jimmie of Freeport, Tex., and Fred of Winnfield, and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Lou Kaplain of Newton, Tex.; Mrs. Ethel Shows of Forest Hill, Mrs. Myrtle Jeffers of Velasco, Tex., and Mrs. Stella Ferguson of Glenmora. Serving as pallbearers for the final rites were Lamar Windham, Gillis Windham, Robert Windham, W. A. Cornett, Lavelle Ryland, Willard Kelly, Harvel Gray and Jimmie Pitre.
