She was a homemaker and a member of Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church. She had been a resident of Jonesville for over 40 years. Services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, in Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Russell Hathcock, Bryan Taylor and Norris Poole officiating. Burial followed in the Heard Cemetery of Manifest under direction of Comer Funeral Home of Ferriday. Survivors include two sons, Allen Parker of Natchez, Miss., and Donnie Parker of Jonesville; two daughters, Renee Cotton and Becky Hardie, both of Jonesville; one brother, Johnny Ray McClendon of Harrisonburg; one sister, Billie Ruth Tolbert of Jonesville; nine grandchildren and one great-grand- child. Pallbearers were Jeffery Parker, Jerome Tolbert, Elton Tolbert, Rusty Hathcock, Daniel Wesberry and Joey Langley. (The Jena Times, Wednesday, February 4, 1998)
